Farmer��s name is Milton Samboni.
Milton: I come from a coffee family, my father is a coffee farmer who instilled in me the coffee culture, since I was a child when the school day ended I helped him in small tasks on the farm such as choosing dry coffee and other simple tasks, when I was 15 years old My father gave me a batch of coffee to help me generate income for me, that helped me to enter to study at the University agro-industrial engineering, the cultivation of coffee grew in the family, with my father we managed to have 2 coffee farms, which have allowed us to considerably improve the quality of life, now we want to change the infrastructure of the mill seeking to produce specialty coffees.
This coffee is from the Cauca Region with the altitude of 1800m.
Ceiba means cotton tree in Spainish, and Milton used the name for the farm because the local area has so many cotton trees. The farm is planted with many pink bourbon variety, one that becomes very popular in the recent years. Also called ��Bourbon Rosado�� in Spanish. However, pink bourbon is not really with the color pink but somewhat in between of yellow and red.
During the harvest, 25 people are hired to pick the cherries in this 1.5 hectare farm. Since it��s very difficult to determine the ripeness of the cherries with color ��pink��, Milton checked the Brix level instead. He used only cherries over brix 20 for Tri-Up Process.
